Q. I still haven’t received my ANCHOR benefit, even though I did get the confirmation letter from the state back in the summer saying my payment would be automatic. What should I do?
— Concerned, maybe

A. You may not have to do anything.

The state has already paid out the majority of ANCHOR payments, it said, but there are still more to go.

If you’re one of them, and you received the letter, we totally understand that you’re starting to get worried.

Don’t.

The state is still taking applications until the end of the year, so the payment season is still in full swing.

In some cases, the state is verifying additional information, and it could reach out to you to confirm a few facts, even if you received the letter.

You can check the status of your benefit on the state website or you can call the ANCHOR hotline at (888) 238-1233.

But we know it can be hard to get through, and it’s also hard to see your benefit as “pending” for weeks, if not months, by now.

If you can’t get the answers you want, you can email us with your name, address, confirmation number and phone number, and we can ask the agency to have someone give you a call.
