A. That’s correct.

The benefit check tool at propertytaxreliefstatus.nj.gov is in beta mode.

“This means it is actively being worked on with new features coming soon,” the state says on its website.

But we checked and it worked for us, so you should try again.

The state said online applications may not appear on the tool for up to three weeks after you submit it, and it can take up to 12 weeks for paper applications to appear.

It also says ANCHOR-only applicants should check back in the fall of 2026.
