Q. I thought they sent another round of checks out for Stay NJ. Who do we contact if we didn’t receive our checks?
— Homeowner

A. Good question.

The latest quarterly installment of Stay NJ started to go out on May 15

“… some are being issued on a rolling basis depending on the particular circumstances of an individual’s application,” the state Treasury website says.

“There may be some delays attributable to the time it takes the U.S. Post Office to deliver the checks. Applicants should allow up to 30 days for all payments to be received.”

If you didn’t get yours, you can call (888) 238-1233 or check your benefit status online.

The next payments are scheduled for August, and then November.

Keep in mind that funding for Stay NJ and the state’s other property tax breaks is subject to change based on the state budget, which is due on July 1.
