14 Nov I got the wrong ANCHOR amount. What can I do?
Photo: pixabay.comQ. I think I received the wrong ANCHOR amount. It was $1,250 and I got $1,750 last year. I can’t get through on the phone. What can I do?

A. We’re guessing your income level may be higher than you realize.
If the state filed your application for you, it would have used information from your 2024 tax return.
Homeowners with income up to $150,000 receive the full $1,500 benefit, and as a senior, there’s another $250 bonus for a total of $1,750. Those with income from $150,001 to $250,000 receive a smaller $1,000 benefit, plus the extra $250 for seniors.
You should take a look back at your 2024 tax return. If you indeed should have received the larger benefit, try calling the ANCHOR hotline at (888) 238-1233 one more time. If you can’t get through, please send us your name, address and phone and we can ask the Treasury Department to give you a call.
