Q. I put in my Stay NJ application for 2025 a while back. How can I check the status of the application?

A. That should be easy, assuming the state’s benefit check tool works. That can be found at nj.gov/treasury/taxation/relief.shtml.

If it says “processing,” that’s not unusual. But if it’s been a bunch of weeks and the status hasn’t changed, consider calling Treasury to make sure it has all the information you need to get your payments out.
