I moved. Do I have to reapply for Senior Freeze?

Q. I recently moved from one senior community to another one that I like better. I finally got the house I wanted. However, the town that I moved to is 15 miles from the older one. Do I have to reapply for the Senior Freeze.

A. Yes.

You want to make sure the Treasury Department knows where you’re living so it can properly calculate your benefits. You also want to make sure the check — if you don’t get direct deposit — is mailed to the correct address.

You’ll need to complete the PAS-1, which will cover you for all three property tax benefits.
