Q. How does one apply for ANCHOR benefit if they don’t have a computer?
— Trying to help

A. If you didn’t receive a notification letter that your ANCHOR application was being filed automatically, and if you didn’t receive an application packet, you can still make sure your application gets into Treasury’s hands.

If you have access to the internet via a cell phone, you can file the application that way.

Using a computer at a library is also a possibility, but make sure your information will remain private. Speak to your librarian to understand how to use their machines without leaving any tracks.

If you don’t have internet access, you can ask someone to print the application for you.

If that doesn’t work, you can call the ANCHOR hotline at (888) 238-1233 or (609) 826-4282.

We’ve heard, though, that it can be hard to get through on the phone.

Instead, you can get help in person at a regional help center.

You can see all the locations here.

Appointments are not required, but you can make one on the state website, which of course, won’t work if you don’t have access to the internet.
