A certified matrimonial attorney in New Jersey, Ms. Lawrence earned a Bachelor of Arts from Kean University in 1992. Subsequently, she expanded her professional knowledge by completing a JD at the Seton Hall University School of Law graduating second in her class. Driven to remain abreast of ongoing industry changes, she aligns herself with the New Jersey State Bar Association, American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, American Bar Association, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and the New Jersey Association of Justice, to name a few. Previously, Ms. Lawrence served as president of the New Jersey State Bar Association and chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Family Law Section and as president of the New Jersey chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and president of the Somerset County Bar Association.

In conjunction with her professional endeavors, Ms. Lawrence has made significant contributions to the community. She supports the Warren and Watchung Police Departments, the local fire department and Lions Club, and Dress for Success, demonstrating her commitment to public service and community welfare.

Ms. Lawrence’s exceptional career has been punctuated by numerous accolades, including being named the Professional Lawyer of the Year by the Somerset County Bar Association in 2014 and by the New Jersey State Bar Association 10 years later. She also received the Her Hero Lifetime Achievement Award from the New York City Bar Association, the Saul Tischler Lifetime Achievement in Family Law Award from the New Jersey State Bar Association, and the Lawyer of the Year Award from the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey. Her most cherished role was serving as president of the New Jersey State Bar Association and leading its 17,000 members.

Ms. Lawrence’s journey to success has been paved with hard work and dedication, but she attributes her achievements to the relationships she has built with her colleagues and the reputation she has earned in the industry since graduating from law school. Her future goals include making a positive impact on the legal profession through the Supreme Court, where she is advocating for attorney wellness and various initiatives following her Presidential Task Force, Putting Lawyers First, which sought to improve the practice of law for lawyers.
