Bill to ban baby mattresses stalls

After her four-and-a-half-month old child died in a playpen, his mother fought for a bill to end the sale of supplemental baby mattresses, which she said caused her baby’s death. This bill, which could save lives, passed unanimously in the New Jersey Assembly. It was on its way to passage in the Senate, but then it got stuck in committee.
