Fine print is important, but what if you don’t have your glasses?
Joe Lentini told The Star-Ledger‘s Bamboozled column that when he ordered a bottle of wine at a business dinner, he told the waitress he didn’t know much about wine so he asked her to recommend a bottle.
What happened next is in dispute.
The customer said the waitress pointed to a bottle on the menu, and when he asked the price, said “thirty-seven fifty.”
The restaurant disagreed, which became apparent when the bill was delivered, showing a $3,750 bottle of wine.
