A new study says millennials are confident when it comes to money management, but they don’t always act that way.

The Bank of America/USA TODAY Better Money Habits Millennial Report found that 80 percent of the 1,000 millennials surveyed believe their finances will be the same or better than their parents. Two-thirds of the 18- to 34-year-olds surveyed say they have good financial habits.

But the survey’s results weren’t so shiny.

It found that 53 percent live paycheck to paycheck. More than a third regularly receive financial help from relatives.
