Long-term care insurance firm does the right thing

After paying premiums on a long-term care policy for nearly two decades, an older fellow missed a payment after suffering confusion after an accident and the loss of his wife. The insurance company cancelled the policy and then it denied his appeal. After Bamboozled wrote about the issue and the Banking and Insurance Department got involved, the insurance company changed its mind and reinstated the policy.
