10 Apr Homeowner fights foreclosure threat

Years of mistakes on the part of TD Bank led to a wrongful foreclosure threat against a Princeton Junction homeowner.

The bank said the homeowner was  nearly $21,000 in arrears, but the homeowner had all his cancelled checks to prove he made the required payments.  TD reps told the homeowner several times that it was obvious a mistake was made, but no one on the bank’s end could figure it out. Eventually, the bank made it right – mostly – and the homeowner isn’t going to lose his home.
