It’s holiday time, and most consumers could use some extra cash.

But if you’re approached by someone who, unsolicited, offers you a job as a “mystery shopper,” be very, very suspicious. And if the pitch is made by someone you know, say, on social media, that doesn’t make the offer any more legit.
