When an appliance breaks and breaks and breaks again, it’s cause for lots of frustration. But when the company that sold you the dishwasher doesn’t stand by it’s promise, it can be maddening.

That’s what one New Jersey man said happened with his Kenmore dishwasher, which he purchased from Sears.

According to The Star-Ledger’s Bamboozled column, the same part on the dishwasher broke four times in four years, and each time, the man said, Sears made him pay for the part. The fourth time, he refused, and Sears eventually offered him a 30 percent discount on a new machine.

He then purchased the new machine, but Sears didn’t answer his calls to facilitate the promised discount.

Until Bamboozled called, that is.
